release of Safe-Labels utilizes the power Report Builder which has been
in use with ExpressMaintenance and ExpressRequest for the last several
years.
The Safe-Labels
Report Builder is a very powerful report building engine that allows
users to customize and produce their own reports. Below are some
common questions that relate to using the report builder with

How
can I adjust the number of copies of a label to print?
You can easily adjust
the number of copies of a label to print by taking the following steps.
1. Run the desired
report that generates the labels.
2. Click on the
Design tab at the top of the report screen.
3. Turn on the Report
Tree if not already on. Click on View / Toolbars / Report Tree
4. Click on the
Detail band of the report.
5. Look at the Detail
band properties in the Report Tree and locate the BandsPerRecord
property. Set the property value to the desired number of labels
as shown below. Note you can save the report and the value will be
saved.
Set BandsPerRecord to adjust the number
of copies you want of the same label.

How
can I adjust the starting position of a label to print?
You can easily adjust
the starting position of label printing by taking the following steps.
1. Run the desired
report that generates the labels.
2. Click on the
Design tab at the top of the report screen.
3. Turn on the Report
Tree if not already on. Click on View / Toolbars / Report Tree
4. Click on the
Detail band of the report.
5. Look at the Detail
band properties in the Report Tree and locate the PrintPosition
property. Set the property value to the desired starting position
on the sheet of labelsas shown below. Note you can save the report
and the value will be saved.
Set the PrintPosition property to adjust
the starting position of label printing.

How
can I create a report for a different style label?
You can easily adjust
an existing report to a new layout or you can start over with a new
report.
To start over with a
new report, take the following steps.
1. Run the desired
report that generates the labels.
2. Click on the
Design tab at the top of the report screen.
3. Click on the menu
options File / New.
4. Double click on
the Label Templates
5. Follow the steps
to select the desired label format.
6. Place the objects
on the screen as desired. Note: You can select and copy the
objects from the previous report and paste them in the detail band of
the new report.
To adjust an existing
report to a new desired layout take the following steps.
1. Run the desired
report that generates the labels.
2. Click on the
Design tab at the top of the report screen.
3. Click on the menu
options File / Page Setup.
4. Click on the
Layout tab.
5. Adjust the
Columns, Column Width and Column Positions as desired. You may
also need to adjust the Margins and Paper Size.
6. Save the report to
the new desired report name.
Use the Page Setup option to adjust for
other label sizes.
