  • Service Notification - Added feature where when program checks services due and services are found due, it will play a wav file. If a wav file by the name of 'ServiceAlarm.wav' is in the same folder with Maintenance.exe, the program will play the file when services are due. Any wav file can be placed in the folder with Maintenance.exe and named 'ServiceAlarm.wav'. See Tech Bulletin 5.9 on our website for more details.
  • Request Notification - Added feature where when program checks for incoming requests and request are found, it will play a wav file. If a wav file by the name of 'RequestAlarm.wav' is in the same folder with Maintenance.exe, the program will play the file when new requests arrive. Any wav file can be placed in the folder with Maintenance.exe and named 'ActiveAlarm.wav'. See Tech Bulletin 5.9 on our website for more details.
  • General - Added right click menu option on incoming requests and services to check now.
  • Maintenance / Units / Service History - Corrected issue where if identical service history items existed, one could not be deleted.

Release 6.4.2.1 2/29/2008

  • General - On Email options of POs and WOs, if the Send To is blank but the Copy To is not blank, program will now send to the Copy To. This is handy with POs if you want to send to someone other than the Vendor which is the Send To.

  • Maintenance / Work Orders - Adjusted button to complete work orders to not over write completed date if a completed date is already entered.

  • Maintenance / Work Orders - Added Print Quick button to print work orders without prompting for the printer. Sends to default printer.

  • Parts / Parts Inventory / Sources - Corrected info passed to Parts Vendor Sources report to select correct part number.

  • Purchase Orders / Reports - Added option to report with parameter selection of Date Closed.

  • Reports - Several new reports were developed during the recent training seminar.  Click here to read about them.  They are automatically included in the new release and will be imported the first time the new release is ran.

Release 6.4.1.1

  • General - Created new error log table to record sql errors silently returned such as end user triggers.

  • General - Adjusted report builder to not fail on report filters when 'Or' in search criteria is encountered before other search criteria and proper parentheses.

  • General - Users with access to all site's parts were still being limited to their Site limitation. This has been corrected. You can no limit a user to a Site but still allow them access to all parts.

  • Maintenance / Work Order Overview - Adjusted to trap if error on resetting the flag / unflag status of a work order. This is to prevent errors generated by triggers created by users.

  • Maintenance / Work Orders - Added code to insure Wo Services Completed field is either Y or N and not null.
  • Maintenance / Reports - New report showing use of RAP calculations and deadline dates. Report is PM Services Analysis Report. Tech bulletin on website explains concepts used and calculations.

Release 6.3.3.1

  • Parts / Receiving / Import From CSV File - Found that previous updates may not have properly created the Import table that is used by the part receiving import wizard.  This update simply checks to see if the Import table exists and if not it creates the table.

Release 6.3.2.2

  • General - Corrected problem introduced in new release where having data formatting turned off was being ignored. Now recognizes when data formatting is turned off under Admin / Defaults / Data Formatting.

  • General - Adjusted program to allow for the setting of the SQL Timeout setting during connection for slow computers. You can now add a line to the ExpressMaintenance.ini file to override the Timeout setting. The line must be formatted as (SQLTimeout=30) if used.

  • General - Adjusted program to allow for the setting of not allowing login to the software via windows login. You can disable the use of the windows login by adding "UseWindowsLogin=No" to the ExpressMaintenance.ini or ExpressRequest.ini file. If this line exist, the users windows login will not be used and the user will be prompted to login to the software.

  • General - Added code to trap the standard SQL end of file / beginning of file error. This error occurred when a single record is contained in the query data set and that single record is deleted.

  • Maintenance / Work Orders - Added a text only version of all notes fields to allow users to view text of notes in grids. Notes are rich text and therefore not viewable within the grids. However, users can turn on fields that are text version of notes (Grid Properties) and view the text of the notes. Users will also want to set the length of the text version.

  • Maintenance / Work Orders - Corrected problem of Unit / Services being rescheduled and history being written from a partially completed work order. Only the completed work order services now update the Unit Services and write to the service history.

  • Maintenance / Work Orders - Added prompt to warn if user marks a work order service as complete on a partially completed work order but does not enter a Performed Date for that service.

  • Maintenance / Work Orders - Adjusted program to reset the Unit Service to status of 'Assigned' if the service in the work order is unchecked as completed. This is the case provided the LastWo field of the Unit Service matches the work order being edited.

  • Maintenance / Work Orders - Added a 'Canceled' field to the work order services grid. If this field is check the service is considered canceled form the work order and the Unit Service will be reset to a status of Normal. This is the case provide the LastWo field of the Unit Service matches the work order being edited. Note that in order to display the new canceled column you will need to use Grid Properties.

  • Maintenance / Work Orders - Enhanced the interface on delete of a work order to warn of results of deleting and to prompt to delete service history associated with that work order. Also resets the unit services to a status of Normal if they are assigned to the work order being deleted.

 

Release 6.3.1.2

  • General - ExpressMaintenance and ExpressRequest now include the alternative of using the Windows login name for the application login. The programs will get the current windows user login on the computer and then see if that login name exist in the program users list. If it does exist and it exist only once, the program will automatically login the user with that login name and the user will not be required to enter a login and password.
  • Utilities / View Connection Properties - Now includes the Windows Login name in the list of information about the application, sql and workstation.
  • Maintenance / Work Order Overview / Print Work Orders - Removed auto selection of Print All Flagged to avoid confusion. If no work orders were flagged for print, program would print blank page. User must now select option to print all flagged.
  • Maintenance / Work Orders / Print Work Orders - Adjusted print screen to keep last selected work order format so user does not have reselect the desired work order format.
  • Administration / Manage Requesters - List of unique Requesters now includes the number of requests for each requester.
  • Administration / Manage Requesters - New right click option on list of unique Requesters includes option to move requests to the selected requesters in left panel.

  • General - Improved handling of multiple requesters in ExpressRequest on the same computer. Note: When first using the new release, users may have to setup their user name, site and other properties again.  This can also be done by administrators in ExpressMaintenance under Admin / Manage Requesters.  You should download and install the latest release of both application if you have an ExpressRequest license.

  • Administration / Manage Requesters - New screen for managing requesters of ExpressRequest.

  • ExpressRequest - Program now check for all requester setup on the same computer and prompts for the requester to be used during the application session.

This provides must more flexibility in enhanced notes. However, it prevents the diplay of rich view notes in grids.   • More Flexibility - Release 5.6 adds even more flexibility to make ExpressMaintenance fit your organization perfectly.  From defining lookup lists to adjusting the Units (equipment) screen layout, we put the power in your hands.   You could always turn off tabs but you can now turn off and arrange fields in the upper part of the Units screen and much more.

     

    • Units Layout allows the administrator to specify which fields and tabs will be displayed, default tab, tab order and define up to 21 user definable fields.

    • Parts Layout allows the administrator to specify the default tab and up to 21 user definable fields with optional selection code lists.

  • General Changes - We're always looking for ways to make our software more enjoyable to use.  That's right, Enjoyable.   This release adds many improvements sure to be appreciated.  However, it is the attention to little details that also makes the difference.

     

    • Installation now allows for full support of MSDE2000 and support for easier setup  on existing SQL Server installation.

    • Adjusted all lookup fields based on Codes to properly filter list when user types code rather than using the drop down list.

    • Improved Grid Properties feature immediately reflects any column changes made directly in the grid.  Also adjusted to reflect the Data Field Name, Data Field Length, Display Name and Display Length.  Fields not used in the grid are now listed alphabetically following those used in the grid.  Users have complete flexibility in defining field order, width and column headings to meet their preferences.

    • Lookup fields now default to the desired lookup properties when screens open rather than adjusting after the first selection is made (example listing units by number).  Users define the lookup field properties under the Utilities option.

    • Utilities / Setup Lookup Properties - Now allows for defining the lookup list for Customers, Vendors and Companies (both) including the user definable fields from the Company screen.

  • Maintenance Requesting - ExpressRequest is perhaps the most appreciated little application to hit the maintenance world.  It is simple and small, yet so valuable.  We had  to look hard to find ways to improve on it.  But we did by including a sample web interface.

     

    • Update includes a sample .asp file (eRequests.asp) for users wanting to include web based requests input.  The file is a sample and must be adjusted to link with your SQL server on your network.

    • Adjusted program to use identity record number field to allow for web based input to database.

    • Adjusted code to not allow invalid unit selection if that is the setting under ExpressMaintenance defaults requires valid units.

    • Now allows users to define the lookup list properties for listing units and services as done in ExpressMaintenance.  This means users can select by unit name or number.

    • Unit number field (Unit) now available in the screen and grid for reference purposes.

  • Parts Inventory - No area of ExpressMaintenance was overlooked.  We looked for every possible improvement we could make in every aspect, including Parts.

     

    • Parts Items - New button to access screen Layout Wizard, also available from Administration / Defaults.

    • Parts Items - Now includes 21 User Definable Fields as previously available in Units screen.   These are setup using the Layout Wizard available under Administration / Defaults and in the Parts screen.
