ExpressUtility is a handy utility included free with all Express Technology products.  It is designed to allow you to get the most of your data.  The ExpressUtility consists of three major sections.  Each section and its features or outlined below.

Data Connection

• Access multiple sets of data

• Explore your databases on multiple SQL servers

• Perform database creation and management functions

• View and examine connection properties and MDAC version

Explore Data

• Access multiple sets of data and tables

• Explore your data using simple clicks

• Explore your data using powerful SQL statements

• Export data resulting from an SQL search to favorite formats

• Edit data displayed in standard grid

• Edit or manage data using powerful SQL statements

• Save and retrieve SQL routines

• Review database table schema structures

• Reset special login accounts required by the system

Import Data

• Import data from other applications and files

• Simple wizard steps you through importing

Backup & Restore

• Backup MSDE databases and zip compress them

• Restore MSDE databases and uncompress them

Note: The ExpressUtility is an application that provides direct access to your data.  Use of this utility should be limited to advanced and administrative level personnel with actual and careful knowledge of the data structure and requirements.
